Dear friends I will be performing the role of Belcore, the full-of-himself quarterback.

Dylan F. Thomas’ brilliant re-envisioning of Donizetti’s comedic classic comes to the Madrid Theatre in less than two weeks! Director Thomas has given one of the most popular comic operas of all time a contemporary twist (and even more laughs) by setting the action on a Valley high school campus, circa 1985. Think “Ferris Bueller Goes To The Opera”!

Soprano Julia Kermott stars as Adina (now the head cheerleader), joined by tenor Benjamin Bunsold as Nemorino (now the team mascot).
The stellar cast also includes Carl King as Dulcamara, the shady snake-oil salesman, Bernardo Bermudez as Belcore, now the full-of-himself quarterback, and Brooke DeRosa as Adina’s boy-chasing BFF.

The Elixir Of Love features the Center Stage Opera Orchestra, conducted by Brian Onderdonk, and will be sung in Italian with English translation (in glorious ’80s Valley-speak) projected above the screen.

Performances are Saturday, June 8, at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, June 9, at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $40 (orchestra), $35 (loge), and $30 (general admission), with discounts for students and seniors. Group discounts are also available.

VINEYARD TOURING OPERA PRESENTS PAGLIACCI and RIGOLETTO ACT IV:  FROM VICTOR HUGO TO VERDI

Dear Friends I will be performing the role of Silvio in this fantastic production of Pagliacci, produced by Vineyard Touring Opera. Leoncavallo’s passionate opera, “Pagliacci,” a story of love and jealousy in a small traveling acting troupe in southern Italy. Based on a true story, “Pagliacci” features the famous aria, “Vesti la giubba,” in which Canio laments that he must make people laugh even when his heart is breaking. “Theater and Life,” warns a clown in the Prologue, “are not the same thing,” and blood will spill before the play-within-a-play has ended.  I will be performing on:
